OXSLAM A SUCCESS (KIND OF)! The Oxslam began at 20:10 on 20/10/2010! It all sounded great in theory, but there were a number of cock-ups, including the scoreboard not working, among many other things. However, as a fundraiser, it was a fantastic success, with over £300 raised for Oxfam. The poets too, were all great. Swansea put up a valiant fight, but it was the Cardiff team that emerged victorious and took away the first ever Cardiff v Swansea Oxslam trophy. A very well attended event, so thanks all for coming. It's hoped there will be a re-match in the not too distant future. Perhaps it could even become an annual event - who knows?
