Square Issue 1   The first issue of Square was originally released in May 2008.   As the magazine was formed with the idea of giving members of the Cardiff-based, Square Writers' Circle a chance to air their wears, this issue mostly comprised of writing by members of said group, namely Paul Yoward, Shelagh Middlehurst, Nick Fisk, David Foster Morgan and John Davies. There are in addition contributions by renowned Cardiff-based poet, J. Brookes, Mab Jones, whose satirical work is now proving very popular on the live poetry circuits, Swansea-based Neil Clarke, Newport-based hangetsu, and also a couple of poems by well-known funnyman, John Hegley.
